So if you have read any of my blog so far, you might know that one of the scariest things for me and my family has been the brain mets, because of my mother dying of brain cancer when I was about two. Obviously, lung cancer is different than brain cancer, but just the thought of having tumors in MY brain was just a little much for my parents, me and Matt (who’s Matt? you ask…he’s my husband, and Lucie is my daughter, and Durham and Charlie Brown are our dogs, and Poco is our cat…just so you know when I casually toss their names in).
So yesterday I had my usual chest CT scan, which I have about every three months, and the first brain MRI since the whole brain radiation back in August. Of ‘08. So understandably, we were all a little nervous.
But hey, evidently WBR worked! No more brain tumors…And the chest scan came back fine too.
Whew. Had my parents over and celebrated with some fabulous salmon and wine.
