I looked at my calendar today — the 5K is coming right up! So far we have about 100 registrants, but I have a feeling with the brochures and posters getting distributed, it’s going to increase a bit in these last couple of weeks! I have to say (if any of you fellow race organizers out there are reading this) that the binder of helpful hints that I got at the Advocacy Summit last April has been absolutely invaluable in reminding me of small things that I never would have thought of on my own! Thanks for letting me ride on your coattails, as it were.
The rainy season has arrived in Seattle, but hasn’t dampened the fall colors at all — we have a lovely, flame-colored maple that we love to look at out our front window (and in the spring, we have a fabulous view of the neighbor’s incredible dogwood — I love where we live!). It’s foggy and misty here, but definitely a good day for baking some fall goodies — maybe pumpkin muffins.
Don’t forget, if you are in the Pacific Northwest, and can make it, I would love to see you at the Free to Breathe, November 8. Registration opens at 7am, the 5K starts at 9am.
