Advocacy Summit

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

I am going to talk about my experience at last year’s NLCP’s Advocacy Summit over a couple of posts, because I think it’s that important. If you have lung cancer, have a loved one that has or had lung cancer, or you just have a strong advocacy ethic, you should apply. I had an amazing time last year, and wound up holding Seattle’s first Free to Breathe event last November. It was a lot of fun, an amazing event, and we were able to raise more than $37,000 for lc research and funding, at the same time raising awareness of this tricky, tough disease.

In my next post, I will tell you the details — if you are at all interested, you should apply — and if you don’t want to wait until my next post (Monday) feel free to email me directly at melissynp@gmail.com.
